Pproject description:
The current CEDS platform is in the near future going to be outdated from a life cycle and technology point of view. Windows XP has already entered last year the extended support phase and is not supported anymore after 2013 and 70% of the hardware is older then 3 years. In addition MSP receives a lot of complaints from the users with regards to the performance, functionality (including flexibility) and the support of the current CEDS platform. To have a future proof mix of workplace services (meeting both user and technology requirements), the leading design principle can not be any longer: a standard silo solution for all employees located in a fixed working area with almost no relation to the type of work. The workforce of the future requests flexibility and agility to cover 'anywhere, any time, any place' in a cost effective delivery model. The flex seating should be integrated on all dimensions (voice, video, data), unless. The flex ratio must improve to
increase tangible elements as costs per user or employees productivity and intangible elements such as employee
satisfaction with respect to workplace. The integration of the new flex seat elements with the current installed base
needs migrations which will be timed in very close cooperation with the management of the different businesses
and locations (BE & NL) and Facility Management.

Description tasks employee:
Looking for 3 projectmanagers to start-up 5 project, draft project brief. After completion the projectmanagers can
continue if they are performing well.Identified Projects:

1. Design Next Generation Workplace - Overall Requirements, Acceptance Criteria, Contracting and Design Project

2. VDI factory - major stream for central back end contracting
a. Total of 15.000 clients distributed over 3 boxes for WP (pilot Q4 - 2010) and later DCV, CSM
b. Application virtualization
c. BSL applications

3. Workplace Revitalisation
a. Upgrade current desktop
b. Replace retired desktops with new desktops with up to date applications (IE8, MSOffice 2010) and Windows 7

4. Laptop upgrade (Windows 7) and replacement, with up to date applications (IE8, MSOffice 2010)
a. Inflight project Windows 7 Build Introduction - delivering a standard Windows 7 Build and pilot of this build for laptop users (including MS Workorder for QA role, W7 build-desktop, W7 build thin client, XP build-desktop, XP build thin client )
b. Upgrade and replacement of laptops

5. Remote Access
a. Build new interface for employees working from home
b. Migrate users working from home
