Werkzaamheden:
Red Hat Linux/SUN Solaris System Administrator / Engineer with some multi-platform experience. The primary responsibility will be to manage the Red Hat Linux & SUN Solaris systems within a multi-platform infrastructure (Unix Sun Solaris, Unix AIX, Linux RH and Windows).
Responsibilities include:
- Specifying, configuring and implementing all Red Hat Linux/SUN Solaris environments.
- Day-to-day support of the Red Hat Linux & SUN Solaris based production and development server environments.
- Providing technical support to development & infrastructure projects.
- Providing production support, 7am-8pm on shift basis.
- Providing overnight on-call support on a rota basis.
- Maintaining full documentation of systems, fault resolutions, and incident investigations.
- Testing of new software releases, patches and upgrades.
- Liaising with other technical support teams (Windows, DBA, Storage, Network, etc.)
- Liaising with development groups to ensure standards are adhered to.
- Establishing effective lines of communications.
Knowledge and required experience
The candidate should have at least 5 years Linux Red Hat and SUN Solaris Management experience in a large sized UNIX environment, preferable in wholesale, investment banking organisation or retail bank organisation.
